Lifetime Equine Refuge (LER) is the equine rescue program under Wild for Life Foundation (WFLF), a 501 (c)(3) all volunteer nonprofit charity committed to saving, protecting and preserving equines across the nation. We are dedicated to providing lifesaving stewardship to horses in need, and strive to engage the public in learning experiences that inspire lifelong care and humane treatment for equines. Wild for Life Foundation achieves these objectives in part through hands on rescue and the provision of emergency medical care, feed, shelter and sanctuary for at risk equines. We facilitate the emergency rescue and placement of all equine breeds on a national level. Our Lifetime Legacy Fund provides ongoing & emergency stewardship and assistance to help reduce the number of horses that are displaced from their homes.
WFLF's BACK TO THE WILD provides long term sanctuary for wild horses removed from the open ranges and educational resources for the preservation of wild equines.
Through our sanctuary and enrichment program, Garden of Equine, we provide humane education and compassionate mentoring through equine assisted learning.
WFLF's Lifetime Equine Refuge is a proud member of the Home for Horses Coalition. The Homes for Horses Coalition is dedicated to ending horse slaughter and other forms of equine abuse while promoting growth, collaboration and professionalism in the equine rescue and protection community.
