The heartwarming and inspirational story of Sky-Angela's rescue is a story of once broken bodies and shattered lives that have come through the fire against all odds.

Angela Marie Bukle was born May 13, 1991 in Montclair, CA. Angela had a bright smile; she was smart, funny and talented, and she loved horses from the time she was a young girl.

Sky is a 10 year old, White and Gray Dapple Arabian mare, once owned and loved by Angela Marie Bukle. Angela valued the close family bond she grew up with and always wanted the best for her horses. While in college she served as the Parliamentarian for the Fraternity Sorority Council and was a leader in the Black Sorority Council.

Angela lost her life suddenly in June of 2012 at just 21 years of age. Angela's loving family was left to care for her three horses, Rocky, Coco and Sky. Angela held her closest spiritual ties to Sky, so it was very difficult for her family to let Sky go.

Angela's family knew in their hearts that Angela would want the very best for her horses. The rescue of Angela's horses is inspirational and a testiment to both Angela and her family. It's a story of once broken bodies and shattered lives that have come through the fire against all odds.

We at the Wild For Life Foundation join in the celebration of Angela's life. We have set up this page, "The Sky-Angela Memorial" to honor her life and her love for her horses. Through this effort we strive to educate and carry the torch forward for all equines so that despite hard times and against all odds, compassionate caring people will not have to choose between feeding themselves or their dearly loved companion animals.
